Los datos parecen indicar que Facebook es la entrada hacia los medios por la que transita más gente. Facebook es opaco para los buscadores y, mucha gente, lo tiene ya como su página de arranque en internet. Acaba de alcanzar los 400 millones de usuarios. Mientras el tráfico en Google News se estanca, el de Facebook se triplica. O sea, que en este aspecto al menos, Facebook es la verdadera amenaza para Google. Sean Parker, de Founder's Fund, ofrece una opinión rompedora con los lugares habituales de Internet. No será Google quien domine la Web, sino Facebook y Twitter. ¿El motivo? Recopilar datos es menos valioso que conectar gente. Estamos pasando de una primera fase de Internet, con servicios de información, a una segunda con servicios de networking. Según su opinión, Google continuará siendo grande y relevante, pero su dominio decaerá.
